United Airlines Boeing 747-400 International (OC) with new First and Business classes

This is the new flag-ship of United Airlines. UA will be rolling out this newly updated plane in early 2008, with state-of-the-art First suite and truly lay-flat 180 sleepers in Business class.

United appears to have hit a grand-slam home-run with the new Business Class, offering a true 180º lay-flat bed. This product significantly outclasses all other US airlines' international offering, and matches or exceeds the world's top-ranked Business class products such as those by British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Singapore Airlines.

Featuring AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) in First and Business class, along with 110V AC power outlet, this will be the new favorite of Business travelers. Economy Plus and Economy passenger will have to make do with overhead screens.

UA's entire international fleet will be refurbished, starting with the first 767-300 to be converted in October 2007, and the 747-400s and 777-200s to begin conversion in early 2008. A total of 97 planes will be completed in about 24 months.
