Singapore Airlines Airbus Industries A380-800.

Above pictures show the new Business class seat:

  1. Seat mode, a very wide seat that Singapore Airlines likes to show off.
  2. Large video monitor in front of the seat, and the foot-well area on a shelf to the lower left of the monitor
  3. In bed mode, the foot-well area of the seat behind protrudes into your seat, taking up half of your head space.
  4. Another view of the intrusion from the seat behind. This encroachment of your space as well as the position of the foot well means that you will have to sleep in a diagonal in order to fit in the space. Note that each row of the seats are only 51 inches apart, just slightly more than four feet.

The new flag-ship of Singapore Airlines, it is the largest airliner in the world, far bigger than the Boeing 747 that held the title for more than 30 years. The A-380 began a new era in commerical aviation when regular passenger service started between Singapore and Sydney on October 25, 2007.

Suite (First) class features enclosed individual suites with a guest seat, and possibly the widest bed in the sky. Business class also has a fully flat bed, although the design forces the passenger to sleep at a diagonal.

All passengers have AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) with very large LCD screens, AC power-ports are also installed at every seat.

Due to the curvature of the upper deck, there are reportedly extra storage bins next to the fuselage, giving window seat passengers additional room for their belongings. Also beware that there is no over-head bins above the center Business class seats.
