Fairwell to Aloha Airlines. For 64 years, Aloha Airlines have served the Hawaiian islands, but March 31, 2008 is the last day that it will operate its scheduled passenger service. Historically high fuel prices and competitions offering $1 air fare were big reasons for Aloha's demise. Aloha Airlines will be continuing to run its cargo and contract operations, and we wish the best to the many fine employees that are affected by the cessation of scheduled passenger service.
